Winter is nearly over and the time to stop layering ladies and go for the minimalistic summer look is fast approaching. If you still aren’t sure how to make that transition and want to go for a maximized look without the frills and hassles, here’s a guide to the essentials or must-haves for the Spring/Summer season.
SHADES, THE COOL FACTOR
Those fresh-faced days are going to happen a lot and most probably will be unplanned this season and you want your eyewear to complete the look without making it seem like effort was put in when you step out. These shades are going to provide just that with the extra needed coolness.
• Aviator shades
• Hepcat shades
• D-frame shades
TANKING IT OUT WITH COTTON
Lazy days don’t mean your fashion has to be lazy, it means you don’t want to be doing anything that can possibly fatigue you so you pull up your magazine, switch on the TV to watch your favorite and have a glass of ice tea next you but you want to do this without jeopardizing your look. Pull either one of these for your tops and your day of pure laziness begins.
TIP: BUY LOTS OF THEM!
• Bright playful tank tops
• Cotton tees (in various styles obviously)
A JACKET FOR FLEXING YOUR FASHION MUSCLE AND ONE FOR CRAZINESS
• White blazer – adds an extra chic finish to any look.
• Denim trucker jacket.
DRESSES FOR EVERY OCASSION
These dresses will ensure you’re never short of meeting a dress code for the various occasions.
• A lacey LBD, LWD or LND (little navy dress) – Lifetime investment basically, this is one of those essentials you need to have around all year round and you can own both a LBD and a LWD. The LWD works well for during the day intimate occasions whether it’s lunch with friends in a garden somewhere or a first date. The LND is for all occasions, day or night.
• The Kaftan – The underdog in your wardrobe but is very versatile. Pair it with shorts, jeans, leggings or just wear it on its own (we dare you).
• Halter neck dress
