What inspired the name of your blog?  When I originally launched my blog it was named “Head Over Heels” till I decided to re-brand and relaunch it because I wanted to add more components and also change the name. I felt it was to common and random. So when I went from just blogging about heels and added handbags and accessories, “Finish The Look” was the right name, because I was sharing every item you need to finish your look.

How long have you been blogging for? I started blogging in 2011

What difficulties did you come across when you first started blogging? Staying relevant and being consistent was and still is one of my biggest challenges.

What do you think new bloggers need to know about blogging that most people don’t? Understanding your readers and audience is very important because you need to know what they like, in order to keep them coming back and being regular readers

What would you say has been a highlight of your blogging career thus far? I still haven’t reached a lot of my blogging goals, but I’m slowly getting there. But what I can say has been a highlight, would be Bonang Matheba and Uyanda Mbuli acknowledging and sharing the blog posts I have done about their shoe collections

Who are your favourite bloggers? I do love most of SA bloggers, but the ones I never miss their posts would be Brett Robson, Tee Tee is With Me and new blogger Eleigh Kheswa.

Which is the most read blog post on your blog and why do you think people like it? My most read post is Bonang’s collection post. With Bonang being such a huge fashion icon a lot of people follow her style. A lot of searches direct to my post and also Bonang shared the post to her followers on Facebook and Twitter, has made this post my most read post.

What else do you do besides blogging? I have a full time job as a brand manager of a beauty brand.

Where do you see your blog in the next two years? I do hope the blog grows and I get to work with more local brands. But I do see it being a guide for all ladies on getting to know more local brands and what they have to offer.

Do you look at your blog as a business, hobby or as a portfolio? I would say all of the above because, I do blog cause I love it and if I do get business opportunities I use them. I also did start my blog because of my PR career and wanting to further my skills online and getting my foot into the fashion industry.
