It has been great growing this community and for something that started as my way of discovering bloggers and doing research on South African blogging – I cannot believe how far we have come. We have been lucky to work with some of the country’s best bloggers, agencies and brands and I couldn’t be more thankful to all of our followers who have made this not-so-easy road seem easy, every day.
We have introduced some of the most interesting columns that you all seem to have been enjoying, we have participated in industry talks, trending news and have had a number successful series of blog posts which have become a great platform to showcase the blogging culture and the PR and media industry in South Africa.
Growing this community hasn’t been easy, trying to understand the culture, our audience and relevant blogging do’s and dont’s has been a fun and learning journey for me and I know for most of our writers throughout the years.
When I started WBFL I did not want our readers to think I am a ‘pro blogger’ or a ‘blogging guru’ as some may put it, I wanted to document the South African blogging industry, learn as I go and understand it better. I have made mistakes, jumped milestones and had some of the most amazing moments and I want to continue to tell South African stories and reach an even wider audience as we continue to inspire through our platform.
I want to thank each and every one of you who have stayed with us in the past 4 years and those of you who’ve recently decided to be part of our fast growing community – a big welcome to you. We will be introducing new features to you; columns, inspiring stories and will be collaborating with different organisations to bring monthly goodies to you.
Thank you for reading my first note, until next time… Happy blogging, remember; We Blog For love.
