Worry not love birds and single people as this Valentine’s Day Sifiso “Tsoro” Mavuso featuring the top ten idols finalist Sanele Mkhize are crushing on you as the title of their single which is dropping out today on your iTunes, Google play store and amazon etc.
Born in Pongola, North of KwaZulu-Natal, Mavuso says he grew up at Secunda in Gauteng Province. He moved around quite a lot as he also lived at uMlazi in Durban. After Matric Mavuso worked at the Secunda mine, but left to go study music.
Married in 2006 this phenomenal music mogul who’s currently living in Richards Bay with his beautiful wife and two kids, says when he left work at the mines he wanted to pursue his music journey as he played instrument and did a little bit of singing which he has now mastered.
During his varsity days Mavuso, began doing gigs and growing in music. He worked closed with the late Sipho Gumede, who introduced him or took him further in music. After moving to Johannesburg, Mavuso also worked with Gloria Bosman, Jabu Hlongwane, Siphokazi, Joyous celebration, Judeth Siphuma and Nqubeko Mbatha.
“Even though I have worked with a number of people and also grown in my career, but I haven’t received that big break. I am still working towards achieving it,” said Mavuso who has a remarkable record on his name as the producer, singer and song writer.
He says he did though make his mark when he started working with Joyous celebration. Lots of people saw him and still recognize him from working with the team, but he wouldn’t know where exactly people started noticing him. Even though the song was written and produced by Tsoro as they call him in the industry, the vocals were done by Mkhize, with a little bit of rapping by Mr. Producer himself.
“The song talks about a guy who’s crushing on his girlfriend who left him because of the way he treated her. He realizes that he messed up and needs the girl back. More like love back song,” explains Mavuso in laughter.
Like any other artists Mavuso has had his share of difficulties. He highlights focus as the important factor that people should not ignore.
“As a person you should be focused and true to yourself. Do not be lost in a moment of being celebrated. Keep yourself grounded and know that not all days are rosy. This will help you in days of rain and coldness,” added Mavuso.
Driven, passionate and shy is who Mavuso is. As we are already in the second month of the year Mavuso says this year he wants to work more in nourishing the talent at his household as the wife is also talented.
With that said we can only wish the best for Mavuso as he thrives to make a difference…..you can download his single on the below link or purchase it at iTunes, Google play store and Amazon. Happy love day Humans!
